This is Sjoerd

Sjoerd is an artist from the Living Museum in Bennebroek.

Do I know a lot about this guy?

I guess not. We have no intake-procedure at the Living Museum. People do not have to tell us about their background. They have often done that, a thousand times, at a 1000 different counters.

We are interested in their skills, their talents. Interested where their strength comes from. Interested if they want to be part of our Community.

Hoping they will help us in elevating the Living Museum into a program that serves thousands of people. People who struggle with loneliness, people who struggle with trauma.

Sjoerd is a most gentle guy, with amazing painting skills

He has a most profound personal style.

At the moment he participates in the Lang Leve Rembrandt Contest.

In fact the painting in this picture, Girl with a Pearl Earring, is one of his contributions for this contest.
